Who Ya Gonna Call?

It’s 3AM.  Who ya gonna call?

When my goddaughter was 3 years old, I wanted for her to feel safe and empowered that she would always have someone to turn to.

So I asked: “Julia, if you were scared and needed help, who would you call?”

Without skipping a beat, she joyfully exclaimed, “GHOSTBUSTERS!”

Ha! Well, that isn’t exactly what I had in mind but it was a good start.

Whether you are 3 or 83, having what I call a “3AM friend” to rely on is key to your well-being.

When your world feels like it’s falling apart or you are in great turmoil wrestling with issues larger than yourself and it’s the middle of the night, you need to know you have back-up.

Women on Fire was founded on the idea there are three essential elements to creating the vibrant lives we dream of: inspiration, strategies and support.

Chances are rare that you will need support at 3AM.  But you might.  And, you certainly need a support team during your waking hours.

Your “3AM friend” is the “assurance” card Debbie and Juliaof knowing you have 24/7 coverage (in case Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis aren’t available!)

Today, Julia is 16 and wise beyond her years.  She’s now one on my “3AM friend” list, and I hope I will always be on hers.
