At some point in your life, you will likely have to make a fresh start. Perhaps you’ll move to an unfamiliar city or begin a new job — or even embark on a whole different career.
Whether you make this move of your own free will or it is forced upon you, such times almost certainly call for a leap of faith.
What can you do to ensure that you’ll land on your feet?
This month, I spoke with a woman who rebounded from a cross-country restart in stellar fashion.
My guest expert for March is photographer and documentary filmmaker Amanda Lucidon. Amanda took a buyout from her job at a newspaper in California and headed — almost on a whim — to Washington, D.C.
This leap of faith eventually took her to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, assigned to First Lady Michelle Obama as the only female White House photographer at the time.
Today, she adds to her list of accomplishments author of a New York Times best-seller: Chasing Light: Michelle Obama Through the Lens of a White House Photographer.
Listen in here as Amanda talks about an exciting step on the path to her job of a lifetime:
In the rest of the interview, you’ll also learn:
